Data Interface for Bioinformatics Developers

• Making data avaliable in machine readable format encouranges combining data and looking for intersections between different data.
• Storing data in a central repository in an SQL or other Database Management System (DBMS) allows central access to all research groups in an institution.
• Make data exportable in a simple text or XML format
• XML can be both human and machine readable.

• The data in XML format can relatively easily be ran through another bioinformatics tools to provide more analysis without having to repeat the old analysis

oligonucleotides -> GC content -> melting temperature -> palindromes -> repeats -> ...

These analysis could both be used in separate programs for 
simlar but slightly different tasks such as designing PCR 
primers and hybridization probes
